Hey my dear friends, compliments of the Season to all!

So here’s the thing, my friends - Christmas didn’t start with certainty, tinsel, or perfectly wrapped gifts. It started with a promise. A hope. A quiet believing that God was about to do something massive, even though no one could fully see it yet.

And that’s why Hebrews 11:1 hits different today. Because listen, we’re all hoping for something. Maybe it’s peace. Maybe it’s healing. Maybe it’s restoration. Maybe it’s just a break from bad news for five minutes, honestly.

You see, when Jesus entered the world, He didn’t come like a solution… He came like a presence. Immanuel. God with us. Not God explaining everything. Not God fixing everything immediately. But God stepping into the mess, the noise, the silence, the questions, the disappointment, and saying, I’m here now.

Isn’t that wild? And wonderful at the same time?

Now, some of you might be reading this thinking, Rebecca, my Christmas is full, loud, warm, joyful, maybe even chaotic - but in a good way! And if that’s you, praise God, truly. Hold on to that. Enjoy it. Laugh loudly. Eat the extra mince pie. No judgement here, mate, life is short.

But some of you might also be reading this and feeling the opposite. Feeling uncertain. Feeling lonely. Feeling like you’re missing people, or purpose, or peace, or answers. And listen, if that’s you, it doesn’t mean God skipped your address. It just means you’re standing in the exact kind of place Jesus likes to show up in.

And yes, that might sound dramatic, but also… it might be true.

So here’s something I’d love for you to reflect on today:

🌟 Reflection 1 - Where am I putting my hope this Christmas?

In people? In plans? In outcomes? Or in God’s presence, even if I don’t see the evidence yet?

🌿 Reflection 2 - Who might I need to forgive this season?

Or even better… is there someone I should humble myself and ask for forgiveness from? That’s where the freedom juice is, my friends. Not just forgiving, but being brave enough to say sorry too. Trust me, the devil hates that combo.

Reflection 3  - Who could I bless with presence, not perfection?

Not everyone can fix broken relationships by Christmas Day. But you can invite someone over. Share a cup of tea. A simple meal. Company. Because listen, “in giving, we receive” is not just a cute quote, it’s practically a spiritual law, honestly.

And you see, the first Christmas wasn’t celebrated in a palace. It was celebrated around a manger, surrounded by ordinary people who just made room in their hearts to witness God’s love in the flesh.

So if your Christmas looks full, rejoice in that.
And if your Christmas looks empty, rejoice in Him. Because the evidence might not be seen yet, but the promise still stands. And Sunday is always coming, even if you’re still in the Friday bit of the story, lol.

Encouragement

Wherever you are right now, Christmas is not asking you to perform joy. It’s inviting you to receive it. Joy is literally in the air because God already released it 2,025 years ago. Your job is just to breathe it in and not argue with it too much, honestly.

You’re not alone. Not really.
And someone else out there needs that reminder too.

Prayer

Lord Jesus,
Thank You for stepping into our uncertainty and not waiting for us to have it all together first.

Give us hearts that make room for You this season.
Teach us to love bravely, forgive boldly, give generously, and hope loudly, even if our voices shake a little while doing it.

Let Your presence be our peace and our confidence.
We trust You, even here.
Amen.

Let’s Pray and Share

If this lifted you a bit today, pass it on. Seriously.
Someone else might need these words more than you did.

And next time we speak, we’ll be stepping into a brand-new year, 2026, which sounds mad to say out loud but also exciting, right? So until then, stay tuned, stay expectant, stay hopeful, and most of all stay held by the One who actually came.

Good night, my friends (or good morning, depending on when you read this lol), and I’ll speak to you again soon with my New Year’s message for 2026.
