Good morning my precious people.
God is love — and His love, just like Him, is ever-present.

I’m a little under the weather today, and this truth really encouraged me. I hope it does the same for you.

So here’s the thing. Our Lord is so merciful that no matter how far we drift, the moment we decide to return to Him, He doesn’t hesitate. He runs towards us. I’m experiencing that afresh right now. Despite a busy schedule and all the usual life demands, I’ve made a quiet decision to put Him first again — and almost immediately, the Holy Spirit has come rushing in, opening Scripture in the most beautiful ways.

Recently, while reading 1 Samuel 7, something struck me as incredibly relevant for today. Samuel tells the Israelites, “Put away the foreign gods among you and return to the Lord with all your heart.”

You see, many of us have “issues” that have been with us for so long that we’ve learned to live with them. Health struggles. Ongoing lack. Broken relationships. We quietly adjust our lives around them and call it normal. But Samuel calls these things foreign gods — not because we worship them intentionally, but because we’ve accepted them as permanent.

Samuel goes on to say, “Serve Him only, and He will deliver you.”
The Philistines represented everything holding Israel in bondage. And today, those Philistines look like sickness, fear, financial pressure, disappointment, and weariness of soul.

Here’s what really caught my attention. The Israelites had the Ark of the Covenant — the symbol of God’s presence — yet they kept losing battles. Why? Because over time, obedience was replaced with tradition. God was honoured outwardly, but not fully followed inwardly.

And if we’re honest, the same can happen to us. We call ourselves Christians. We believe in God. Yet we struggle to live victoriously because our faith has been diluted by the world’s thinking. God hasn’t changed — He is the same yesterday, today, and forever — but our beliefs often have.

God is still calling us, just as He called Israel:
Return to Me. Remove what doesn’t belong. Serve Me only.

And when we do, deliverance follows.

Prayer:
Father God, thank You for Your mercy that welcomes us home again and again. Show us anything we’ve accepted that doesn’t belong in our lives. Help us return to You with whole hearts, renewed faith, and fresh expectancy. We trust You to bring freedom, healing, and victory once more. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Gentle Invitation:
If this spoke to you, share it with someone who may need encouragement today.
