Morning All, my friends.

Today I read about the God who upholds, the God who strengthens, and the God who helps — and I realized how often we miss Him in the small moments while we’re staring at the big problems.

And listen my friends, maybe someone reading this is feeling like I have felt before:

“I’m tired of trying.
I’m afraid of failing again.
I don’t know the way forward.
I don’t even know what I have left to give.”

Well, if that’s you, listen — God doesn’t only show up in the solution. He shows up in the sustaining.

In the Bible, the Israelites left Egypt with a huge celebration, but then got stuck at the Red Sea — terrified, trapped, crying, feeling like it was all over before it even began.

And Moses said:

“Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord.” (Exodus 14:13)

Not “run faster.”
Not “perform better.”
Not “prove yourself.”

Just stand.
Even tired standing counts.

And then God made a way through the sea, not around it.

And do you know what lifted me most as I read that story today?

It was this gentle whisper in my heart:

“Rebecca, I will not let you drown in the place where I plan to part the waters.”

That is the God we serve, friends.

You see, 2025 may have had dark clouds, silence, closed doors, disappointments, confusion — but here’s the thing:
God was there in the hallway, not just the destination.

He was there when:

you had enough courage to speak the truth to a friend

you stepped into prayer even while shaking

you walked into worship even when hurting

you received love instead of rejection from the people who mattered most

God was working in the roots, not just the outcomes.

And listen my friends, here is what my Lord said to me as He always does through His words and Scriptures:

“I am your God. I will help you. I will uphold you.”

Not “maybe.”
Not “later.”
Not “if you earn it.”

I will help you.
I will uphold you.
I am with you.”

That’s a promise, not a performance contract.

Something to Think About:

Where have you been looking for a way out, when God might be offering His hand under you first?

Have you been fighting shame when God is trying to give you dignity back at the root?

What lies have you believed about yourself that God might want to break with truth instead of pressure?

A Prayer for This Evening:

Father God,
Thank You that You are not offended by our honest cries when the night feels long.
Thank You that You are not limited by our weakness, fear, or exhaustion.
Thank You that You uphold us even when we can’t uphold ourselves.

Lord, for anyone reading this who is in a long night season, I pray:

Strengthen what is weak

Comfort what is bruised

Steady what is shaking

Lift what is hiding in shame

Guide what is confused

Restore joy at the root

And part the waters at the right time

Because we trust You, not ourselves.

In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen 🙏
